Margaritaville on Ambergris Caye Belize

Margaritaville announced its plan to build a resort on Ambergris Caye in early February of 2019. Phase one is scheduled to have waterfront residences available mid 2021.

The resort sits about 13 miles north of town, within the Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve. It's a long ride for a golf cart from town, but there will be boat shuttles running into town at least a couple times during the day available for guests.

The resort will have one, two, and three bedroom suites ranging in size from 940 sq.ft. (interior) to 1,475 sq.ft. (interior) for the three bedroom model.

The units will all come with quartz countertops, GE appliances, large living and dining areas, as well as spacious outdoor areas.

The resort will have two pools, four bars, two restaurants, and a 400-foot pier that will have kayaks, wave boards, and Hobie catamarans for use.

I finally made it up to Margaritaville on Friday, November 13, 2020. There is a new sales team in place that was very accommodating to myself and a few other real estate agents that were on the tour. Timelines have been pushed back, due to the worldwide COVID pandemic, but we were assured that new units would be ready to occupy in 7 months. Along with the new sales team is adjusted pricing on the current inventory. Keep in mind that prices are expected to increase approximately 10% for each new phase that is released to the public.
