As if October was not busy enough, we had one last storm for the season that came to Belize. Sara originally looked like it was headed towards Ambergris Caye and the Costa Maya of Mexico, but it headed west and made landfall just south of Dangriga. That was good news for us, here on the island, as the last one was further north and we received stronger winds. Unfortunately, the rest of Belize was not so lucky and there was a lot of flooding, which continues as the water moves down the rivers to the ocean. I got out a did another video the day after to show some minimal damage around the beaches in town.
Sara Ends the Hurricane Season
The annual tree lighting at Sagebrush Church will occur on December 8th this year. For those of you that don't know where Sagebrush is, it's right on the southwestern side of the bridge heading north.
I believe there will be Christmas carols and I think I heard some hot cocoa!
I took a recent trip up north to take a look at a colleague's listing at Indigo. The Indigo complex is located about 4-5 miles north, just east of the left turn that takes you towards Secret Beach. This is a top floor 3BR/3BA unit. As seen above, there is a nice pool and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. There is also a large veranda that is great for entertaining or holding larger gatherings. I am providing a link to the video that I took below.
I have been seeing posts about a new venue being worked on far north of the bridge. After seeing a post of their Grand Opening, I decided to ride up with some colleagues to check out "Up North". It's about miles north of town right off of the main road on the eastern side of the island.
We teed off at the driving range, threw some axes, had some appetizers, and a few drinks. It turned out to be a very nice day and a wonderful outing for myself and colleagues. There are also tees on the second floor facing the driving range to use. I've place a link of our trip below.
