Residency Trip To Belmopan
I decided to post a trip that I made to Belmopan to pay for my residency application. This journey has taken some time as the disruption of COVID in Belize delayed my process for years. I won't go into all of those details, but I did finally get the call that my application had been approved.

As a new resident, I thought it was appropriate that I travel like most locals do (which is how I usually travel anyway). If you have any questions about the process, I would be happy to give insights that I have learned along the way
.
Public Transport from San Pedro to BZE
I needed to meet a client at the Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) to help facilitate getting some needed documents signed for a closing on a condominium in San Pedro. Since she was not familiar with getting around in Belize City and the delivery of the documents was critical to the closing date, I decided to meet her at the airport and deliver the documents to the closing agent.

I didn't want to pay $200+USD (flying there and back plus transport into Belize City) to help get the job done, so I took public transportation (again). A few years back, I did a video of the same trip and took a few wrong turns. I needed a redo so this video is much more helpful for those that are interested. Mind you, I did not have any luggage, but just a small backpack. I believe that a one-way trip like this ended up costing me be about $22USD with about 45 minutes of total walk time. It was and adventure as it always is when I am shooting these videos. Enjoy!

Lobster Season Begins!
Reef House Price Reduction
I have a listing at The Reef House in the Alaia resort that has had a price reduction. Unit 3611 is a first floor unit with a great location within the The Reef House, part of the Alaia development. The 2BR/2BA, 1,100 sq.ft. condominium has a unique location that gives you an amazing view from the veranda as well as a view of the children's play area on the back side of the unit.

All of the amenities of the Alaia resort are available to the owners and their guests. This unit, in particular, is part of the rental program, which makes it an excellent opportunity for added income.
The Alaia resort is undergoing some beach improvements. To help mitigate the issue of incoming sargassum and for improved experience for owners and guests, the beach area is being extended out and a new sea wall as well as a sunning pier is being installed. As an added benefit to this sale, the owner is paying for the cost of the assessment regardless of the closing date (quick closes are welcomed).

Just a short 25 minute beach walk to town, the location gives you easy access to shopping, restaurants, and many of the tour operators along the way.
